Day description

 The JEDNC is an annual event organized by and for the Ph.D students of the Norman Doctoral School of Chemistry.

The purpose of this appearance is to meet all the Ph.D students of five Norman establishments (Rouen Normandy University, Caen Normandy University, Le Havre Normandy University, INSA ROUEN, ENSICAEN). The guest staff is about 150 people who are invited to enable them to :

  • Present their thesis research in front of a wide public of chemists and other scientists.
  • Learn how to communicate a search with industrialists and unspecialized scientists by the use of easy words and simple terms. (scientific popularization).
  • Inform other members of the scientific research community which are in progress in the other units.
  • Develop sustainable contacts with the professional world.
  • Join the international context of research through the use of English as the unique language of all the oral and written communications.

The JEDNC also allows the valorization and the diffusion of the Norman potential regarding research, in the field of chemistry, through the meetings and the exchanges between the various academic partners and the Manufacturers of the region.

With a huge pride the Ph.D students in chemistry of Le Havre, belonging to the Unity of Search in Organic and Macromolecular Chemistry (URCOM), accepted the responsibility of organizing the 2018 edition of this day which will take place in June 21st, 2018 within the University of Le Havre Normandy.
